The American pianist and soprano, Eileen Huang, has performed at Alice Tully Hall, Boston’s Symphony Hall, Carnegie Hall, the Aspen Music Festival, the Rockport Chamber Music Festival, and the Tanglewood Music Festival.
Eileen Huang is a graduate of The Juilliard School and MIT. As a member of the Tanglewood Festival Chorus, she performs regularly with the Boston Symphony Orchestra and the Boston Pops Orchestra. |

Eileen Huang made her concerto debut at age 11 with the Battleground Arts Center Symphony Orchestra and was featured as a chamber musician at Alice Tully Hall at age 17. She received her training at the Juilliard School and the Aspen Music Festival and School, where she studied with the late Herbert Stessin, and holds a degree in chemistry from MIT
Acclaimed as an “estimable pianist” and “sensitive partner” (Boston Musical Intelligencer), Eileen Huang enjoys a career as a collaborative pianist and vocal coach. Her recent performance with Boston Symphony Orchestra principal bassist Edwin Barker and violinist Yevgeny Kutik at the Rockport Chamber Music Festival received praise for its “poise and polish,” “soft delicacy,” and “tasteful rubato” (Boston Classical Review). During the 2016-2017 season, she also appeared at the Tanglewood Music Festival with the Tanglewood Festival Chorus, guest conductor James Burton, and Boston Symphony Orchestra Associate Concertmaster Alexander Velinzon.
Eileen Huang is a rehearsal pianist for the Boston Symphony Orchestra, the Tanglewood Festival Chorus, and Emmanuel Music; and an accompanist for the Boston City Singers. She teaches on the music performance faculty at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where she has been an Affiliated Artist since 2010. She has also assisted violist Marcus Thompson in preparing world premieres of concertos by Elena Ruehr and Olly Wilson. |

Coloratura soprano Eileen Huang discovered her love of singing as a young student at Juilliard, when participation in the chorus was mandatory for pianists.
Eileen Huang was one of eight vocalists featured during the inaugural season of the Nahant Music Festival in 2014. She returned to the festival in 2015, performing alongside members of the Boston Camerata and Emmanuel Music. In 2014, she created the title role in the premiere of Sleeping Beauty by Francine Trester to critical acclaim.
A soprano in the Tanglewood Festival Chorus since 2006, Eileen Huang has performed more than 100 concerts with the Boston Symphony Orchestra and Boston Pops Orchestra under world-renown conductors, including James Levine, Seiji Ozawa, Sir Colin Davis, Bernard Haitink, and Rafael Frühbeck de Burgos.
Eileen participated in the BSO’s Grammy award-winning recording of Ravel’s Daphnis et Chloé and had the honor of singing at Senator Edward Kennedy’s funeral. She has been a concert soloist at the Tanglewood Music Festival and Symphony Hall and covered the soprano solo for the world premiere of William Bolcom's Eighth Symphony. She also appeared as soprano soloist with the Wellesley Choral Society in an all-W.A. Mozart program in 2014.
