The American mezzo-soprano and voice teacher, Robin Hendrix, studied at Pensacola Catholic High School in Pensacola, Florida, where she obtained her diploma in Diploma, Advanced Placement studies. She obtained her Bachelor of Music degree in Voice Performance from Florida State University in Tallahassee, Florida (1982-1987).
Robin Hendrix is concert artist who appears in local and national music festivals. She performs and records classical vocal works and traditional songs. A concert recital artist in Europe, she possesses a signature singing style, rich, warm and emotional, garnering acclaim in both the USA and Europe. Her CD's have won critical acclaim and professional awards.
Robin Hendrix is also a teacher of singing in the old Italian style. She currently lives in Serdinya, Languedoc-Roussillon, France with her husband, Michel Prezman, composer, pianist and professor of piano. She is Director of Centre pour la Formation de la Voix, which she created in May 2012 to provide Advanced studies in voice for Professional singers and gifted amateurs. The center is loocated in Serdinya, a village in the Pyrénées Orientales. Her students make excellent progress thanks the old masters' technique. She has written a book called How to sing like the Great Singers, in French and in English. She is also interested in antiquities, especially medieval eclesiastical objects and structures in the Pyrenees Oriental. |
