The German soprano, Marie Heeschen, studied with Professor Christoph Prégardien and Professor Lioba Braun at the Hochschule für Musik und Tanz Köln, where she is now in the class of Professor David Smeyers for the interpretation of New Music. Master-classes and lessons with Klesie Kelly-Moog, Ruth Ziesak, Martin Kränzle, Jil Feldman and Amandine Beyer completed her training.
The versatile soprano can be heard in all genres of classical music. As a soloist, she was heard in concert and opera productions at the Händelfestspielen Halle, Fränkischen Musiksommer, Oude Muziek Fest Utrecht, as well as at the 8Brücken Festival in Köln, Kölner Philharmonie and various radio stations such as WDR, SWR and Deutschlandfunk. With her ensemble Paper Kite she was a prize-winner at the Biagio Marini Competition 2013 and the Premio Selifa 2013 and 2015 and received a scholarship from the Deutschen Musikrats with her Neue Musik Ensemble BRuCH. For the 2014-2015 season, she was engaged in the "Junge Ensemble" of the Musiktheaters im Revier Gelsenkirchen. She was a guest at the Oper Bonn in the role of Berta in Rossini's Il Barbiere di Siviglia during the 2015-2016 season. Now she is a permanent ensemble member of the Oper Bonn and takes part such roles as Musetta in La Bohéme, Papagena in W.A. Mozart's Die Zauberflöte or the first niece in Peter Grimes by Benjamin Britten. She currently lives in Cologne, Germany. |
