The Lebanese-Palestinian Canadian tenor, Haitham Haidar (Arabic:
هيثم حيدر), studied at McGill's Schulich School of Music; obtained his Bachelor of Music degree in Advanced Performance in Voice from the University of British Columbia (2013); and graduateed from Yale's Institute of Sacred Music (2017-2019).
Praised for his 'ductile,' 'bright,' and 'robust' tenor, Haitham Haidar enjoys performing oratorio, opera, and chamber music across North America, Europe, and Asia. He has recently joined Kaleidoscope Vocal Ensemble, a group that develops opportunity for music excellence and diversity to exist in one space.
When he is not performing, Haitham Haidar spends his time playing the recorder, taking care of his cat Tonks, and going for long walks along the canal. He also enjoys incorporating Arabic music into his performances. He currently lives in Montréal, Quebéc, Canada. |
