Amine Hadef (Tenor)

Born: July 2, 1980 - Casablanca, Morocco

The Moroccan tenor, Amine Hadef, studied at Lycée Lyautey in Casablanca. He dedicated to early music and after studying piano and organ he discovered singing in the Jeune chœur de Paris under the direction of Laurence Equilbey. He then perfected his art the ENM de Pantin, then in the Maîtrise Notre-Dame de Paris. This was followed by attending master-classes with Martin Isepp, Hans Peter Blochwitz, Jean Tubéry and is currently (as of 2005-2006) a student in Florence Guignolet.

With the Maîtrise Notre-Dame de Paris, Amine Hadef has performed regularly as a soloist: Dvorak's Mass in D, and Dixit Dominus and Magnificat by Antonio Vivaldi... He is a member of Collegium Vocale Gent (Director: Philippe Herreweghe), with which he sings regularly in Europe German romantic music: L.v. Beethoven, Johannes Brahms, Schubert and Felix Mendelssohn. He is also the tenor of the young vocal male ensemble Aquilon specialized in French Baroque music and sponsored by the Festival Simphonia in Périgord.

On stage recently, he was recently the First Spirit in Monteverdi's Orfeo with Le Concert d'Astrée under the direction of Emmanuelle Haïm at the Théâtre du Châtelet and the Opéra du Rhin.

He recorded with a contemporary works with Roland Herrabedian, Le Martyr de Saint Sébastien by Debussy with Collegium Vocale Gent, The Creation by Haydn and Mass in B minor (BWV 232) by J.S. Bach with John Nelson, and Mass in C by W.A. Mozart with Louis Langrée. He currently lives in Paris, France.
