The American contralto, Lorie Gratis, studied for D.M.A. at Temple University; M.M. (Opera) at Curtis Institute of Music; M.M. (Performance and Literature) at Eastman School of Music; B.M. & M.M. at West Chester University. She studied with Jan DeGaetani, and additional studies at Britten-Pears School and Bach Aria Group.
has appeard as a soloist with Amor Artis, Orchestra of St. Luke’s, The Washington Bach Consort. She was first prize winner national competitions, and appeared as a soloist at the Marlboro Music Festival.
Lorie Gratis is currently lecturer in Voice at the Boyer College of Music & Dance of the Temple University.
