The American bass, David Michael Garry, holds a BFA in trombone performance from Western Michigan University and went on to do his MM work at Northwestern University in Voice/Opera Performance.
David Michael Garry has been in New York City for over 16 years and performed in Opera, Oratorio, Concert Work and Musical Theater productions from Moscow to Broadway. His credits include Broadway productions including the recent production of Carousel, A Bronx Tale the Musical, The Last Ship, Company, dozens of regional and Off-Broadway productions and a host of television and film spots; Other credits: American Repertory Theater: Debut. Broadway/National Tour: The Phantom of the Opera (Don Attilio), Sweeney Todd (Sweeney), Company. Off-Broadway: Road Show; The Rink (Dino); Up in Central Park; Mirette; Miss Liberty; Beowulf (Hrothgar), Irish Repertory. Regional: Sweeney Todd, A.C.T. and Pennsylvania Shakespeare Festival; Ragtime (J.P. Morgan), Kennedy Center; Merrily We Roll Along, Cincinnati Playhouse; Carnival!, Paper Mill Playhouse; South Pacific, Camelot, My Fair Lady, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. Film/Television: Carry Me Home; “Mission Dawn.” In October 2018, he joined the Broadway Chamber Players for a concert and returned to his classical roots with J.S. Bach's Coffee Cantata (BWV 211).
