The American soprano, Amanda Gardner-Porter, launched her singing career in Asheville, and has been described as one of "the best in the Asheville area" by BlueRidgeNow.com. She has sung various roles with Asheville Lyric Opera, including Stephano in Charles Gounod's Romeo et Juliette for which she was pointed out by Classical Voice of North Carolina as "standing out both vocally and in (her) acting." In December 2008, she performed as a soloist Antonio Vivaldi's Gloria with Carolina Concert Choir conducted by Bradford Gee at the Porter Center at Brevard College. She married C Michael Porter on October 19, 2008 and currently lives in Boise, Idaho. Since July 2021, she works as HR manager at Children's Home Society of Idaho. |
