The German soprano, Rebekka Fries, studied at Ostendorfer Gymnasium in Neumarkt (Class of 2008). She began in 2008 her singing studies at Hochschule in Würzburg, first in the class of Martin Hummel, from 2012 onwards in the class of Monika Bürgener, and developed there a broad range of roles ranging from the Baroque opera to contemporary parts. She attended master-classes with Juliane Banse, Michael Volle, Franz Grundheber and Magreet Honig. In 2011 she participated in the Lied class of Gerold Huber. In 2013 she completed her operatic as well as singing pedagogy diploma. In the following years, she continued her artistic education with a master's degree in concert / Lieder singing at Universität Würzburg (2014-2018). She is the second prize-winner of the 2010 Armin-Knab-Wettbewerbs für Gesang.
Since Octrober 2013, Rebekka Fries has been working as a voice coache at the Dommusik Würzburg. She received a scholarship from Richard-Wagner-Gesellschaft in 2012. She is also sponsored by the Yehudi Menuhin Foundation "Live Music Now" and the Studienstiftung des Bundesministeriums für Bildung und Forschung. She currently lives in Würzburg. |
