The Swiss soprano, Cindy Favre-Victoire, enrolled at the Conservatoire de Musique de Genève
at the age of 13 to study lyric singing. After a year of studying with Michèle Moser, she attended the courses of Isabel Martin-Balmori for another eight years. She mainly worked on a repertoire for soprano and followed in parallel, during her studies, music theory lessons, piano, voice-piano duet. In 2009, she won the
Concours Haydn at the Conservatoire de Genève. She performed at Place Neuve, with the Orchestre des Jeunes du Conservatoire, as well as live on Espace 2 radio on the occasion of the Fête de la Musique.
Passionate about the 17th and 18th centuries, Cindy Favre-Victoire entered Baroque singing at the
Haute École de Musique de Genève (HEM) in the class of Lucien Kandel. She obtained her Bachelor's degree in June 2018 and continued her training in Master's degree in pedagogy. In January 2019, she performed La Folie et L'Amour in the opera ballet Les Fêtes Vénitiennes by André Campra with the students of the HEM at the Liszt Academy in Budapest (Zeneakadémia), under the direction of Daniel Esteve and Dorota Cybulska Amsler. In September 2019, she received the 3rd Prize ex æquo at the
Concours International de Chant Baroque de Froville. She participated in projects within the HEM with conductors such as Gabriel Garrido or
Leonardo García-Alarcón as well as with artists such as flautist Serge Saitta and harpsichordist
Kenneth Weiss.
Cindy Favre-Victoire sings regularly in ensembles such as Mnemusik, Jeun’voix, Geneve Baroque and the Compagnie Musicale Rhin-Rhône. She had the opportunity to work with Anna Fabrello, Alexander Mayr,
Jadwiga Rappé, Antonio Florio and Marc Mauillon during the master-class as well as with
Monique Zanetti during the 2018 Summer Academy of Saint-Antoine-l'Abbaye.
Since September 2020, Cindy Favre-Victoire is Professor of singing at Mevavoix at École de Musique des Voirons in Bons, Rhone-Alpes, France. |
