"Amira Elmadfa’s appearance is the ideal of a 17-year-old young man of a respectable family with a soft, smooth mezzo voice." - Opernwelt
"Amira Elmadfa perfectly masters her double role, both as the young man Octavian and as the provoking girl Mariandel. Vocally she is also very convincing. As Octavian she exhales sweet melodious singing, forming pink arcs and endless dark shades." - Neue Merker, Vienna
