The German tenor, Jochen Elbert, was already as a child a member of the Tölzer Knabenchor. As a tenor, he completed his studies at the Hochschule für Musik in Munich. He won scholarship of the Deutschen Bühnenvereins and the Richard-Wagner-Stipendienstiftung.
Concert engagements led Jochen Elbert to many European countries and allowed him to participate in various festivals (such as Bachfest Schaffhausen, Biennale München, Internationale Maifestspiele Wiesbaden, Musikfestspiele Potsdam-Sanssouci). Radio, television and CD recordings round out his activities.
From 1992 to 2002 Jochen Elbert was a member of the ensemble of the Hessisches Staatstheater Wiesbaden. In recent years, he sang, among other things, at the opera houses of Pforzheim, Kaiserslautern, Freiburg, Cologne and Essen. |
