The Dutch counter-tenor, Hanno Egger, was active as a chorister and soloist since he was 7 years old. He started his professional singing training at the 'Academie Muzikaal Talent', led by Erika Waardenburg. There he studied singing with Selma Harkink, his singing teacher ever since. In 2019 he started his Bachelor's degree in Classical singing at the Conservatorium van Utrecht.
At 21, Hanno Egger is already a sought-after young countertenor in the Netherlands due to his warm and clear sound. He has performed several times as a soloist for Bachcantates Utrecht, he has participated in various competitions and is prize-winner of the Archipel Muziek Concours and the Nationale Prinses Christina Concours. He sang at festivals such as Opera aan Zee and last year formed his own ensemble for a concert series with Giovanni Battista Pergolesi's Stabat Mater. (September 2021-April 2022). He also performed as a soloist with an orchestra conducted by Boudewijn Jansen (conductor at the Nationale Opera).
From George Frideric Handel Opera to Schubert Lied, his singing is characterized by a melancholic warmth and moving integrity. Most at home in the world of Baroque and early bel canto Opera, his love for singing and early music accompanies the urge to move, grow and create. |
