The German soprano, Andrea Egeler, studied at the Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst in Stuttgart as well as at the Folkwang-Hochschule in Essen bei Professor Jakob Stämpfli. She studied in in the Lieder class of Professor Konrad Richter and attended master-classes with Elisabeth Grümmer and Arleen Augér. She had long co-operattion with Professor Karl-Heinz Jarius in Frankfurt.
As a concert singer Andrea Egeler has appeared in Israel, the USA, South Korea, Italy, and Portugal and could be heard also in Switzerland. She sang, for example, at the Festival Estival in Paris, Musique Sacree Fribourg, Israel Festival, the Bachfest Schaffhausen, the Bodensee Festival and at the Internatiuonal Music Festival Czestochowa in Poland.
In 1985 Andrea Egeler created 1985 an ensemble for early music and extended its repertoire by numerous works from Baroque and early Baroque. She has participated in numemrous free opera and operetta produktions and was engaged as a guest by the National Theatre Mannheim.
Apart from broadcast and TV productions (including the SWR), Andrea Egeler participated also in CD recordings of works by Jan Dismas Zelenka, Heinrich Schütz und J.S. Bach conducted by Frieder Bernius. |
