Ricardo Gonzáles Dorrego (Tenor)

Born: 1972 - Buenoa Aires, Argentina

The Argentinean tenor, Ricardo González Dorrego, studied piano and music theory with Irene Saralegui, Martha Bongiorno, Olga Raymundo and Cilena de Giovanucci; and singing with Ricardo Catena and Marta Blanco, with ehom he continues today. He attended courses with teachers Guillermo Opitz (chamber music), Gabriel Pérsico and Gabriel Garrido (Baroque music). He earned his Bachelor of Music, majoring in choral conducting at the Faculty of Arts and Musical Sciences UCA (Pontifical Catholic University of Argentina) having as teachers a Marta Lambertini, Gerardo Gandini and Néstor Andrenacci, among others. He has composed several choral groups. In 1997, he entered the competition Coro Nacional de Jóvenes, and in 1998 Coro Polifónico Nacional, where he currently serves as head of string.

He has performed ayed roles in the operas Dido and Aeneas by Purcell, Die Zauberflöte by W.A. Mozart, Fidelio ny L.v. Beethoven, Carmen by Georges Bizet, L'enfant et les Sortileges by Ravel, Rigoletto by Verdi, Gianni Schicchi by Puccini, Wozzeck by Alban Berg, etc. In his concert repertoire are solo parts in: The Messiah by George Frideric Handel, Coronation Mass by W.A. Mozart, Requiem by W.A. Mozart, Symphony No. 9 by L.v. Beethoven, Mass in C by L.v. Beethoven, The Seven Last Words by César Franck, Stabat Mater by Rossini, Carmina Burana by Orff, Cantata by Igor Stravinsky and War Requiem by Benjamin Britten, among others.

He has performed in major theaters in Buenos Aires and inside the country, such as Teatro Colón (Buenos Aires), Teatro Avenida, Teatro Roma (Avellaneda), Teatro Argentino (La Plata), Teatro El Círculo (Rosario), Teatro Independencia (Mendoza), Auditorio del Belgrano, Auditorio Juan Victoria (San Juan), etc. In 2000 he performed in Rome (Italy) Misa de Corpus Christi by Antonio Russo. In 2004 he starred in Toulouse (France) premiered the work "Lamdelam" by Sergio Piterbarg. He has performed under conductors and directors as Franz Paul Decker, Karl Martin, Alexey Izmirliev, Gabriel Garrido, Pedro Ignacio Calderón, Antonio Russo, Mario Benzecry, Roberto Ruiz, Carlos López Puccio, Néstor Zadoff, Oscar Gálvez Vidal and Roberto Luvini, among others.
