The German tenor and choral conductor, Stefan Dörr, was born and raised in Niedernhausen im Taunus. After studying the Catholic church music at the Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst in Frankfurt am Main (conducting with Professor Wolfgang Schäfer), and completing the A-exams, he completed major singing studies at the same university (with Professor Martin Gründler) and was also a member of the local opera school. Interpretation courses with Eric Ericson and John Eliot Gardiner expanded his musical horizons. Hae gained professional choral experience as a member of the Frankfurter Vokalensemble and the Kammerchor Stuttgart.
Soon Strefan Dörr worked as organist and had grownung number of engagements as a singer. Concerts and concert tours both at home and abroad led him to the USA, Brazil, Israel, Korea, Russia and many other places.
His vocal performances are documented on various radio productions and on some CD recordings. 1989 he took yupon himself the directing of Jungen Chores Schwanheim / Goldstein.
Since 1983 Strefan Dörr live and work in Frankfurt. He is married and father of two boys. He earns his living now in the IT service provider Allianz Dresdn Group, the AGIS. |
