The French contralto and singing teacher, Myriam Djemour, was a finalist at the New York International Auditions in 2012 and sang Catherine in Bizet's La Jolie Fille de Perth. After a brief stint at the conservatory, she learned the profession of singer from Lionel Sarrazin, then made her debut at the Nouvel Ensemble Vocal de Lyon directed by Henri Farge. She then joined the professional choirs of the Opéra-Théâtre de Saint-Etienne.
For several years, Myriam Djemour has divided her time between recital and oratorio as a soloist and teaching at the Ecole Nationale Supérieure d'Art Dramatique de Saint-Etienne. In addition, she is developing an artistic collaboration activity with various directors (Richard Brunel, Laurent Fréchuret, Arnaud Meunier, Gwenael Morin, Michel Raskin ...) to support the work of the singing on stage.
In addition, trained by Evelyne Brünner and Lionel Sarrazin, Myriam Djemour is a teacher of vocal technique at the Centre National d’Art Dramatique de Saint-Etienne. She has developed a unique pedagogy there towards artists, and anyone seeking to develop voice work. She calls herself "accoucheuse de voix" (voice midwife). She works regularly in collaboration with directors and choreographers, artists on the stage, comedians or lyrical singers. |
