The Brazilian mezzo-soprano and radio broadcaster, Clarisse Diefenthäler, began her musical career at the age of eight, having studied piano with teachers Mirka da Pieva and Ana Maria Loma. She obtained her Bachelor of Music degree in in Choral Conducting from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS) (2008-2011). She had her post-graduate studies Lato Sensu (post-graduate course that quailifies students for practical work), Specialization in Music Education with Emphasis in Popular Music at Centro Universitário do Sul de Minas (2016-2017). She also attended Announcer Course for Radio and TV, Communication and Media Studies at OSCIP Padre Landell de Moura (2013). She was Academic Monitor at Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul in Porto Alegre (March 2010-August 2011); and scholarship holder of Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul (August 2012-May 2014). Since 2013, she has been guided by baritone Carlos Rodriguez (Brazil / Holland) and has been perfecting herself in master-classes with important names in the lyrical scene, such as Homero Velho, Carla Maffioletti, Eiko Senda, among others.
Clarisse Diefenthäler is active as a selff-employed professional singer in Porto Alegre since March 2013. As a soloist, she performed with the Orquestra Unisinos Anchieta, Orquestra de Câmara Theatro São Pedro, Orquestra Sinfônica da Universidade de Caxias do Sul, Orquestra de Câmara da ULBRA, and Sphaera Mundi Orquestra. In November 2013, she sang the 2nd Lady in W.A. Mozart's Die Zauberflöte at Theatro São Pedro, conducted by Evandro Matté. In 2017, she was selected for the Royal Opera House master-class, with David Gowland and André Heller Lopes, at Theatro Municipal in Rio de Janeiro. In 2018, she was selected to participate in the prestigious program Prelúdio, on TV Cultura in São Paulo. In August 2019, she sang in the concert of "Händel e a Ópera Barroca" with Orquestra Sinfônica de Porto Alegre; in November 2020, she sang in the concert "Cantatas de Natal" with Bach Brazil Ensemble directed by Fernando Cordella. In 2020, she signed the soundtrack for the short film Fragmentos ao Vento: 1945, by Ulisses da Motta.
Clarisse Diefenthäler is also Music Programmer at Fundação Piratini - TVE e FM Cultura in Porto Alegre (since June 2014). She is broadcaster responsible for the musical selection of the programs Café Cultura, Manhã Popular Brasileira, Tom Brasil, Cultura Rock Show and Rock Grande do Sul. Producer, editor and presenter of the Contracultura program. |
