Laura Delogu (Soprano)

Born: Argentina

The Argentinan soprano, Laura Delogu, studied percussion at the Conservatorio Nacional de Argentina and singing at the Instituto Superior de Arte del Teatro Coló in Buenoa Aires. She perfected her vocal technique with Pablo Basualdo. He has participated as an active student in the master-classes of Alicia Nafé, Raúl Gimenez, Maria Chiara, Vivica Genaux, Maurizio Arena and Verónica Cangemi. She was awarded a scholarship by the Epcaso program in Italy and by Claudia Pinza in the USA.

Laura Delogu won a prize in the competition "Jóvenes voces del Teatro Colón" and represented Argentina in " Competizione dell opera" (Germany). She has sung solos in a wide range of oratorios and has performed the great works of W.A. Mozart, Gabriel Fauré, Giovanni Battista Pergolesi, George Frideric Handel, J.S. Bach, Orff, Felix Mendelssohn, Haydn, Dietrich Buxtehude, John Rutter, L.v. Beethoven, Schubert, Johannes Brahms, Gjeilo, Jenkins, Charles Gounod, Robert Schumann, Antonio Vivaldi and Jan Dismas Zelenka, highlighting the performances with the orchestras Sinfónica de Salta, Sinfónica de Tucumán, Académica del Teatro Colón, Filarmónica de Montevideo and Camerata del Teatro Argentino.

Laura Delogu sang the first modern auditions of Te Deum by Zipoli, at the official ceremony of the Bicentennial Argentino; Miserere, Tercia y Misa by Esnaola and Cancionero de Aránzazu (Geneva, Switzerland). She was soloists with the Capilla Panamericana and Capilla Cisplatina (conducted by Gabriel Garrido), on Latin American tour with Paraguay Barroco and on tour in France and Morocco. She made a concert tour to the Americas Society in New York and Miami and Fundación Teatro Colón in St. Petersburg.

Laura Delogu has performed the roles of Adina in Elisir d'amore, Musetta in La Boheme, Donna Anna in W.A. Mozart's Don Giovanni, Nannetta in Falstaff, Gilda in Rigoletto, First Lady in W.A. Mozart's Die Zauberflöte, Giulietta in La schiava liberata, Frasquita in Carmen, Belinda in Dido and Aeneas, First Lady in Medea, Valencienne in La Viuda alegre, and Beata in Bebe Dom. Encarnó los roles de Belinda (Dido y Eneas), She has performed as a soloist in suche venues as Teatro Colón, Argentina, Avenida, Auditorio de Belgrano, Municipal de Tucumán, Mitre de Jujuy, Provincial de Salta, Las Conde de Santiago de Chile, Arsenal de Metz, Solís de Montevideo, Auditorio de Medellín, among others.

Laura Delogu is member of the Nacional de Jóvenes de Argentina and was formerly a member of the Concert Band of the Banda de Conciertos de Gendarmería Nacional, Estudio Coral de Buenos Aires and Orquesta Académica del Teatro Colón. She currently lives in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
