The Canadian soprano, Michele DeBoer, studied at Earl Haig Secondary School in Toronto, Ontario.
A long-time member of Tafelmusik Baroque OrchestrA & Chamber Choir, Michele DeBoer is also a member of the Toronto Consort and was featured last season as Balshazar's Queen in their production of the Play of Daniel. Michele performs regularly as a soloist in the Toronto area, recently as the singer in So you want to write a Masque with the Toronto Masque Theatre and as Belinda in a 21st-century remix presentation of Purcell’s Dido and Aeneas at the Global Cabaret Festival in the Distillery District. Concerts further afield have taken her to Thunder Bay with Consortium Aurora Borealis, to Eugene for the Oregon Bach Festival, and to Versailles to sing the role of L'Amour in Lully's Persée with Opera Atelier.
Michele DeBoer also enjoys teaching a private voice studio and conducting two choirs, as well as being a busy Mom to two young daughters. |
