The American soprano, Christa Dalmazio, studied at he Ranney School, where she was a student of Cynthia Springsteen and a member of the Concordia Youth Chorale. She obtained her Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance Manhattan School of Music in New York City (2012-2016) and currently studies at the same institute for her Masters of Music degree in Vocal Performance (2016-2018). During her studies at the Manhattan School of Music, she has worked there as House Manager (since 2013) and Resident Assistant (since 2014). She is a Merit Award Winner in Classical Voice from the National Foundation for Advancement in the Arts YoungArts Voice Competition, a Regional Winner in the Classical Singer Magazine High School Competition, and a Finalist in the All-State Opera Competition.
Christa Dalmazio performes has Soprano Soloist in Weddings/Funerals/Church Services since 2010. She has performed solo roles at Carnegie Hall, Avery Fisher Hall, St. Michael’s Church, and the Liederkranz Foundation in New York City, and at Notre Dame de Montreal and Sainte-Anne-de-Beaupre, Quebec, in Canada. She was featured as a soloist for Manhattan School of Music Chamber Chorale in J.S. Bach's B Minor Mass (BWV 232), under the direction of Kent Tritle (February 2014). She plays harp, piano and viola, and also enjoys composing, conducting and Irish dancing. She sings soprano at Christ Church New York City since 2015. |
