The German mezzo-soprano and contralto, Sabine Czinczel, studied singing and rhythm at the Staatliche Hochschule for Music and Performing Arts in Stuttgart. Multiple scholarship winner, she attended master-classes with Sena Jurinac, Anna Reynolds and others and completed her training with Editha Simon in Cluj (Romania), Elsa Cavelti in Basle and Dunja Vejzovic in Stuttgart.
Sabine Czinczel focuses her artistic work in contemporary vocal music and the concert areas of oratorio and Lieder. Her extensive repertoire gave her numerous appearances at major music festivals in Europe such as Schwetzingen Festival, Warsaw Autumn, Eclat Festival Stuttgart, Bruckner Festival in Linz, Biennale Berlin, Wien Modern, Lucerne Festival, Days for New Music in Hanover, Paris and Donaueschingen, "Voices 1999" in Lörrach. She has co-operated with renowned orchestras such as Ensemble Recherche, Ensemble Modern, Ensemble Intercontemporain, the Rundfunkorchester des SWR, NDR Sinfonieorchester Hamburg, Gewandhausorchester Leipzig, Freiburger Barockorchester, Barockorchester Capriccio Basel, Barockorchester L’arpa festante, Capella Savaria (Hungary). She has a special concert with Ligeti's works at the Festival Ars Musica in Milan.
Premieres, television productions, radio and CD recordings with conductors such as Philippe Herreweghe, K.H. Stockhausen, Lothar Zagrosek, J. Avery and A. Manson document the broad repertoire of Sabine Czinczel. |
