The Polish tenor, Mariusz Cyciura, graduated in 1992 from the University of Iowa City (scholarship), and studied violin at the Academy of Music in Krakow, graduating in 1997. From 1994 he participated in individual singing training courses, including with S. Szkurchan, M. Armanowska and T. Bench.
Since the beginning of 1979 Mariusz Cyciura has appeard on stage under the direction of Professor Bronisławy Wietrzny; Chór Chłpięcy and Filharmonii Krakowskiej (Krakow Philharmonic Orchestra) from 1980 to 1983; performances at the People's Theater in Krakow (Betlejem Polskie, Nie-Boska Komedia et al.), Teatrze im. J. Słowackiego in Krakow (Martwe Dusze), in co-operation with Zygmunt; in 1994 - Chór PR in Krakow, the Chórzysta Filharmonii Narodowej since 1998, as a soloist since 2001. He has collaborated as a soloist with the ensemble La Tempesta.
Mariusz Cyciura has appeared in opera at festivals including Pesaro and Bergenz, and has participated in more than 800 concerts, including some 100 solo recitals. Hae has performed in the USA, France, Spain, Belgium, Austria, Israel and others, and has established a permanent co-operation with the music centers in the country and abroad.
Mariusz Cyciura has ctaken part in about 30 CD's and recorded two solo CD's. Since 1994 he has co-operated with the Polish Radio. He has also recorded music for more than 15 films, serials and plays, including: Ogniem i Mieczem (Fire and Sword), Stara Baśń (Star fairy tale), Dracula, Katyń, Gascon, Piękna i Bestia (Beauty and the Beast), Ryszard III (Richard III), et al, and has dubbed numerous roles. |
