The American tenor, Gregory Cross, has established an international career in the opera and concert works of W.A. Mozart, J.S. Bach, George Frideric Handel, and Berlioz. Recent performances have included Don Ottavio in Don Giovanni for the Florida Grand Opera; Arace in the Bastille Opera's Idomeneo; Tamino in Die Zauberflöte for the Opera Company of North Carolina, Cleveland Opera, and Austin Lyric Opera; and Jacquino in a concert version of Fidelio with the San Francisco Symphony Orchestra. He performed several times at the Baldwin-Wallace College Bach Festival (1995-1997).
Gregory Cross' recordings include "Au Fond Du Temple Saint" from Les Pecheurs De Perles with Gino Quilico, he is Sinon in Berlioz' Les Troyens for Decca, and is the tenor soloist in L.v. Beethoven's Cantata on the Elevation of Leopold II to the Imperial Dignity (1790) with Elizabeth Futral, Jan Opalach, The Collegiate Chorale and the Orchestra of St. Luke's for Koch. Garegory Cross currently is a member of the ensemble of The Metropolitan Opera and lives in New York. |
