The English soprano, Libby Crabtree, has enjoyed a varied career, ranging from musicals in London's West End to performances with many Early Music groups, including The Sixteen, The Tallis Scholars (Director: Peter Phillips), Dunedin Consort, The New London Consort and Polyphony.
Libby Crabtree's involvement with these groups has led to many performances and recordings, including solo roles in Blow's Venus & Adonis, J.S. Bach's Christmas Oratorio (BWV 248) and Finzi's In Terra Pax. She has also toured all over the world, including Japan, New Zealand, USA and Brazil. Recent solo work includes George Frideric Handel’s Messiah in the USA and Poland, Dido and Aeneas in Spain, Germany and Norway, and Israel in Egypt for Dutch TV with the Brandenburg Consort.
Libby Crabtree has lived in Scotland for the last eight years and has sung with many Choral Societies, as well as often appearing at the Edinburgh International Festival in works by J.S. Bach, Felix Mendelssohn and Gustav Mahler. |
