The English bass, Jack Comerford, obtained his Bachelor of Arts degree in Music (with Honours) from the University of York (2013-2016). He also obtained Piano DipLCM. laso During this period, he was Bass Choral Scholar at York Minster (May 2014-July 2016). In 2014-2015, he took part in The Sixteen's young artists’ programme, Genesis Sixteen. He also studied studied Arabic at Jordan Language Academy (July-September 2017). He was Bass Lay Clerk at Winchester Cathedral in Winchester, Hampshire (September 2016-December 25, 2019). He also obtained Piano Diploma from London College of Music (DipLCM). Since September 2019, he studies for his Master of Mussic degree in Vocal Performance at Royal College of Music in London (exprected graduation in September 2021).
Jack Comerford performed as a soloist in J.S. Bach's Mass in B minor (BWV 232) with Waverly Singers & Brandenburg Baroque Soloists conducted by Richard Pearce at Andrew's Garrison Church, Aldershot (January 2020); and Cantata BWV 42 with RCM Baroque Orchestra conducted by Ashley Solomon (April 2021) at the Royal College of Music, London. He is a member of the vocal ensemble I Fagiolini (Director: Robert Hollingworth).
Jack Comerford has been teaching privately for 7 years producing some excellent results with the ABRSM syllabus. He is also a visiting music teacher at Winchester Cathedral Choir School, The Pilgrims' School (since September 2017). He currently lives in London, England. |
