The Hong Kong-born soprano, Harmony Chen, studied at Wa Ying College in Kowloon, Hong Kong. She studied music at the Chinese University of Hong Kong and at Royal Holloway University of London (for Master of Music degree). She earned a Silver Medal in the 'Song Recital' category at the North London Festival of Music's 2013 competition. Her winning programme included solos from George Frideric Handel's Messiah, Die Zufriedenheit by W.A. Mozart and Donizetti's 'O luce di q'uest anima' from Linda di Chamounix. Her performance was commended for its 'sophisticated singing with lovely clarity' and adjudicators praise her for her 'pure, clear soprano voice.'
Harmony Chen intends to pursue a singing career upon graduation from the Music Department's Master's programme, and is currently looking at opera and chorus training programmes around the world. |
