The Mexican mezzo-soprano, Harumi Castro Sashida, graduated in Singing with a specialty in Lied and Oratorio from the Universität für Musik und Darstellende Kunst Graz, Austria. She began her Master's studies in Lied and Oratorio interpretation at the same university. She has attended master-classes in interpretation with: Brigitte Fassbaender, Javier Camarena, Gabrielle Lechner, Linda Watson, among others. She is a semi-finalist at the International Singing Competition “Meister singer competition” in the city of Graz, Austria and winner of the award for best performance at the XXXVI National Singing Competition “Carlo Morelli”.
Harumi Castro has sung as a soloist in various productions and national and international venues, among them are: Musikverein Stefaniensaal Graz, Austria; Kasematen, Austria; Grazer Opera House, Austria; Palacio de Bellas Artes, México; Teatro del Edo, Xalapa, Mexico; Foro Boca, Mexico, among others. She is currently a member of the Coro de la Universidad Veracruzana. |
