The American baritone, Jeffery Byers, graduated with a Bachelor of Music degree from the University of Colorado and received a Master of Music degree from University of Indiana, where he was a student of the legendary Giorgio Tozzi. He has won several competitions
Jeffrey Byers was a member of the Opera House in Zürich for 10 years. He sang an extensive repertoire of Opera roles such as Verdi’s Rigoletto, Mozart’s Don Giovanni, the three villains, Coppelius, Dapertutto, and Dr. Miracle in Offenbach’s The Tales of Hoffmann, Germont in La Traviata, Sharpless in Madama Butterfly, Marcello in La Bohème, Sonora in Puccini’s La Fanciulla del West, Gianni Schicchi, and many more. The virtuoso baritone has performed many concerts and Lieder recitals in Europe, and in the USA. He has recorded numerous CD’s.
Jeffery Byers is actively teaching voice and promoting new singers. He is currently head of vocal development for the musical department at the music school in Küsnacht, Switzerland, and the Stiftschule Gymnasium,
Einsiedeln. |
