The German soprano, Anke Briegel, studied since 2002, singing at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater Hannover, first with Mechthild Kerz and later with Professor Dr. Peter Anton Ling. As part of her training she also took part in various master-classes with Aribert Reimann, Professor Ingrid Kremling, Professor Sabine Ritterbusch and Professor Klesie Kelly part and studied as an Erasmus scholarship one year singing at the Conservatorio Luigi Cherubini in Florence, Italy. In 2001 she was 2nd Prize winner at the Bach Competition, Leipzig, and in 2004 finalist at the National Singing Competition in Berlin.
Anke Briegel appears regularly as a soloist in concerts both at home and abroad, in 2008 at the Teatro della Pergola, Florence and in 2009 at the Bachwoche Stuttgart. In 2005 she debuted as Varvara Dobrosjolowa in Sedelnikov’s Arme Leute (Poor People) at the Hamburg State Opera, in 2006 as Amor in Gluck's Orfeo and Barbarina in and W.A. Mozart's Le nozze di Figaro at the Theater Bielefeld. |
