The Austrian soprano, Andrea Bogner, studied piano and transverse flute, then singing in Vienna with Gottfried Hornik and Waldemar Kmentt as well as in Mainz with Claudia Eder.
From 1996 to 1999 Andrea Bogner was engaged in Koblenz, then she changed to Mainz. She is prize-winner of several competitions and was called for two seasons the best new generation singer in the magazine Opernwelt. She has appeared as a guest in Italy, France, Ireland and Japan and participated in several productions, such as the title role in Schönen Galathée by Franz von Suppé.
Andrea Bogner is also a concert singer in demand. She has appeared at the Kölner Philharmonie, the Waterfront Hall in Belfast or the Wiener Musikverein. As a native singer of folk-songs she performs Gustav Mahler with clarity, accuracy, transparency, irony and conviction. Since 2000, she is ensemble member in Darmstadt. Here she sang Oscar, Zerlina, Ännchen and as Berta in Il Barbiere di Siviglia. |
