The Dutch mezzo-soprano, Adrienne van den Bogaard, has been making music since she was a child and has been active as a singer for thirty years. She was taught by Maria van Uden and Jelle Draijer, among others, and is currently taking lessons from Sabine Wüthrich.
Adrienne van den Bogaard was affiliated with various choirs, including the Amsterdamse Cantorij. She currently sings in Amsemble, the Westerkerkkoor and the Brabantkoor. She also forms a duo with pianists Arno Eisses and Natalie Lee, with whom she regularly performs Lieder.
In addition to her musical life, Adrienne van den Bogaard studied for her Engineer degree in Applied degree at Technical University Delft (Sepember 1985-August 1991); her PhD degree Science Studies - History, Sociology and Philosophy of Mathematics at the Univeristy of Amsterdam (November 1991-October 1998). She made her Post-doc in History of Technology at Univeristy Twente (November 1998-November 2000); and was Assistant Professor at Technical University of Delft (December 2000-August 2008). She then obtained her Master of Science, Teacher Training First Degree at Free University Amsterdam (September 2008-August 2009). She worked as Mathematics Teacher (August 2008-July 2013) and School Leader (August 2013-August 2021) at Hermann Wesselink College. Since September 2021, she is Mathematics Teacher at Berlage Lyceum in Amsterdam. She currently lives in Amsterdam. |
