The Spanish-Argentinean soprano, Maria Bisso, was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, coming from a Spanish family. She received her musical education at the Conservatorio Nacional de Musica "C. Lopez Buchardo", were she graduated from the careers of singing and piano. She also made acting and vocal training expert courses in Teatro Colón Superior Arts Institut, Buenos Aires. She studied with KS Ruthilde Boesch, an with soprano Edita Gruberová, in Vienna, where she lives nowadays. In 2001 she was prize-winning at the "Maria Callas" International Competition in Sao Pablo (Brasil), being immediatly singled-out by the tenor Luigi Alva, who was president of the jury.
In 2002, Maria Bisso made her debut at Teatro Colón, Buenos Aires. As an opera singer, she performed, between 2003 and 2014 among others, Pamina in W.A. Mozart's Die Zauberflöte, Zerlina in W.A. Mozart's Don Giovanni, Lauretta in Puccini's Gianni Schicchi, Musetta in Puccini's La Bohéme, Gilda in Verdi's Rigoletto, Serpina in Giovanni Battista Pergolesi's Serva Padrona, Susanna in W.A. Mozart's Le Nozze di Fígaro, in Argentina (Teatro Avenida, Teatro Argentino de la Plata, Teatro Avellaneda, Teatro San Martin de Córdoba), Austria (Wien Musik und Darstelle kunst Universität), Bulgaria (Stara Zagora) and Czech Republic (South Bohemian Theater and at the International Festival Cesky Krumlov). She worked with conductors such as Christoph Campestrini, Mario De Rose, Rubén Dubrovsky, José Cura, Antonio Russo, Ricardo Rodrigues Moreso, etc.
As a concert singer, Maria Bisso, was heard in Austria, France, Italy, Argentina, China, Hungary and United States. She sang Gustav Mahler's Symphony No. 4 in Houston (Texas) at International at Round Top Festival, L.v. Beethoven's Symphony No. 9 in Czech Republic Southbohemian Theater. In october 2008 she made her debut at Vienna's Musikverein, together with Bach Consort Wien (Director: Rubén Dubrovsky), and Mezzosoprano Bernarda Fink under Maestro Rubén Dubrovsky. She recorded a DVD of Gustav Mahler's Symphony No. 4 and Strauss Songs with Sofia Philharmonic Orchestra under Ricardo Rodrigueso Moreso. She made her debut in Vienna´s Konzerthaus in 2012. Ibn 2009, she sang J.S. Bach´s Mass in B minor (BWV 232) with Óbudai Danubia Zenekar (Budapest) under José Cura. She also performed in Vienna, ORF Großen Sendesaal, singing a very successful concert of argentinean songs. In 2014 she had the leading role in the World Premiere of Cantata Scénica Et Nunc et Semper by Mario De Rose, in South Bohemian Theater. She made her debut at Praga National Opera, in January 2015 with this piece. |
