The Austrian soprano, Judith Bechter, studied singing teaching and solo concert singing at the State Landeskonservatorium Feldkirch with Professor A. Hückl. She concluded both studies with distinction. She is a laureate of the Jugend musiziert, received the prize at the Heinrich Strecker International Competition, and attended master-classes with J. Cash, Juliane Banse, Kurt Widmer and Elisabeth Schwarzkopf.
Judith Bechter has an extensive repertoire of sacred works, such as Die Schöpfung and Die Jahreszeiten by J. Haydn, Requiem of Gabriel Fauré, W.A. Mozart and Johannes Brahms, Gloria by Francis Poulenc, George Frideric Handel's Messiah and Felix Mendelssohn's Elijah.
Judith Be has embodied opera and operetta roles at various stages in Austria, Switzerland and Liechtenstein (Laura in Bettelstudent; Saffi in Zigeunerbaron; Gilda in Vizeadmiral; Adina in Liebstrank;…). She sang the 1st Dame in a concert performance of Die Zauberflöte at the Schubertiade in Schwarzenberg and operetta concerts with members of the Wiener Symphoniker in Vienna.
Judith Bechter teaches at the Musikschule Dornbirn and the Vorarlberger Landeskonservatorium. |
