The Brazilian baritone, Giovanni Baraglia, began his musical study playing the transverse flute with Lélia Righi Lellis. In parallel with his studies in painting and graphic arts at the Università di San Paolo, he devoted himself to singing, studying with Sandra Espiresz. Member of the Coro Giovanile dello Stato di San Paolo from 2010 to 2013, he has sung under the direction of several masters, also presenting himself as a soloist and collaborates with numerous vocal ensembles including Audi Coelum and Voz Ativa Madrigal.
Since 2013 Giovanni Baraglia has continued his studies in Lugano at the Conservatorio della Svizzera Italiana under the guidance of Luisa Castellani and Barbara Zanichelli, graduating in 2016. he Specializes with internationally renowned artists including Richard Wistreich, Marcin Habela, Gabriella Sborgi, Konrad Jarnot and Manuela Custer.
His concert activity recently includes the solos of W.A. Mozart's Missa Brevis in D minor KV 65 and Antonio Caldara's Stabat Mater, under the direction of Maestro M. Kölliker and Sylvano Bussotti's Lachrimae, in a ten-voice version, presented and recorded at the Auditorio Stelio Molo della Radio Svizzera Italiana. He is currently enrolled in the Master of Arts in Music Pedagogy at the Conservatorio della Svizzera Italiana, always under the guidance of Luisa Castellani. Since August 2020, he works at Theater Orchester Biel Solothurn / Théâtre Orchestre Bienne Soleure. He currently lives in Turin, Italy. |
