The Amrerican soprano, Patricia Balconi-Lamica, obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and two, separate minors in Performing Arts and Music from University of Texas at Dallas; and her Master of Science degree in Biotechnology from the same institute (2015-2019). She also was there Biology Graduate Teacher’s Assistant (TA) (August 2018-May 2019). She has appeared in many productions during her time at UT Dallas, including A Little Night Music and the Best of Broadway revues with Dr. Kathryn Evans, concerts with the UT Dallas Chamber Singers, and every Comet Opera production from 2017 to 2019. She also served as president and treasurer for Comet Opera during the 2018-2019 Season. She is an alumnus of UT Dallas. She made her Comet Opera debut as Countess Almaviva in W.A. Mozart's The Marriage of Figaro (April 2017), and performed with them also the roles of Beatrice in W.A. Mozart's Much Ado About Nothing (April 2018), Fiordiligi in W.A. Mozart's Così Fan Tutte (November-December 2018), Alcina in George Frideric Handel's Alcina (April 2019), Norina in Gaetano Donizetti's The Marriage of Don Pasquale (August 2019), and Servilia in W.A. Mozart's La clemenza di Tito (December 2019). She has worked as Clinical Research Assistant at Thomas J. Stephens & Associates, Inc. (May-July 2019); Clinical Writer/ Study Scheduler and IRB Coordinator at SGS in Richardson, Texas (July 2019-November 2020); IRB Administrative Associate II/Senior Client Services Coordinator at Advarra in Austin, Texas (since November 2020). |
