The Russian Mezzo-soprano, Ekaterina Bachuk (Russian: Екатерина Бачук), graduated from the vocal department of the Moscow Academy of Choral Art (Академия хорового искусства) V.S. Popov (class of Valentin Chaplin) in 2009. While studying, she took part in the collective's tours abroad of the concert choir of the academy.
Ekaterina Bachuk has performed under the direction of such conductors as Vladimir Spivakov, Vladimir Fedoseev, Mikhail Pletnev, Alexander Sladkovsky and Theodor Currentzis. From August 2011 to September 2015, she was a soloist of the musicAeterna Chamber Choir at the Perm Opera and Ballet Theater, performing also solo parts in the theater's performances: Dorothea, daughter of Madame de la Altier in Cendrillon by Massenet, Dunyasha in The Tsar's Bride by Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov. She has taken part in concert performances of operas: The Governess in The Queen of Spades and Martha in Iolanta - in Tchaikovsky's operas; Jealous Sister in Suor Angelica by Puccini. Since the 2020-2021 season, she again works at the Perm Opera: soloist of the theater choir and the Parma VoicesCchoir under the direction of Evgeny Vorobyov.
