The American soprano, Hilary Baboukis, studied at University High School, where she obtained High School Diploma, (2003-2007); and at Columbia College in New York, where she obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree in Music (2007-2011). In summr 2009, she also studied Arabic at the American University in Cairo.
Since 2006, Hilary Baboukis works as freelance/independent soprano in the areas of Classical, opera, sacred/church musician, some jazz. She is comfortable with Latin, French, Italian, German, Spanish, Greek, transliterated Church Slavonic and Russian; choral (section leader) and solo. Since 2008, she is Choir Director at St. Mary Magdalen Orthodox Church. She currently lives in Cairo, Egypt. |
