The Armenian mezzo-soprano, Gohar Azizyan, studied from 1981 to 1991 at Yerewan # 10 Secondary School in Armenia (Secondary School Certificate). From 1984 to 1991 she studied at Yerewan # 2 Musical School; from 1991 to 1996 at Yerewan State Conservatoire (Artist of Chamber ansamble, accompanist, musical teacher); from 1996 to 2000 at Yerevan State Conservatoire (Opera and concert singer / mezzo soprano); from 2003 to 2005 PhD in music at Yerevan State Conservatoire. She has introduced to concert programs each by 14 opera, oratorical arias.
Gohar Azizyan's work experience: Theatrical Institute as accompanist (1995-1996); # 22 Musical School as musical teacher (1996-1998); Yerevan State Conservatoire as accompanist (1998); Yerevan State Conservatoire as singer assistant by music illustration (1998); Yerevan State Chamber musical theatre as soloist /singer (2000); Yerevan Opera House - soloist singer (2006).
Her repertoire include: Amneris in Verdi's Aida, Carmen in Georges Bizet's Carmen, Parandzem in T. Chukhadjyan's Arshak II, Anna in Al. Arutiunyan's Sayat Nova, Almast in Al. Spendiaryan's Almast, Tamar in A. Tigranyan's David Bek; various arias in opertas and oratorios by Rossini, Antonio Vivaldi, Charles Gounod, Al. Harutiunyan, Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov, Ash. Satyan, Camille Saint-Saëns, Giovanni Battista Pergolesi, Luzzy, Donizzetti, G. Bizet, J.S. Bach, Gluck, Verdi, Musorgski, Djrbashyan, Chuchadjyan, Tchaikovsky, Stradella, W.A. Mozart. She now lives in Yerevan, Armenia. |
