The American mezzo-soprano, Cyntia Anderson, was born to Lutheran missionary parents in Tokyo. She graduated with Bachelor of Arts degree in Music Education from Luther College in Decorah, Iowa (1973-1977) and received a Master of Arts degree in Music from Concordia University-River Forest in Chicago area, Illinois (2004-2007).
Cynthia Anderson performes as a freelance mezzo-soprano soloist since 1978. She has performed with many American orchestras and choral organizations, including the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra, the Honolulu Symphony, Chicago Sinfonietta, Saint Louis Symphony Orchestra, and Music of the Baroque, Chicago.
Cynthia Anderson maintains a private teaching studio, is Director of Music at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Villa Park (since September 1987), and directs choral groups at Concordia and College of DuPage. |
