The Austrian contralto, Ingrid Amann [or Ammann, Amann-Zumtobel], studied at the Mozarteum in Salzburg and at the University of Innsbruck. She continued her singing training in 1992 whith Professor Ingeborg Dobozy at the Landeskonservatorium in Feldkirch. She gained the Lehrbefähigkeitsprüfung in 1995 with distinction, 1998 followed with the concert diploma.
Ingrid Amann has been a soloist in numerous concerts in the area of secular and sacred music. She appeared in premiers of contemporary works (Himmelslichter by G. Amann, Missa Quatuor by K. Bleyle) as well as performances of early music. In 1998 the Österreichische Rundfunk (Austrian Broadcasting Corporation) dedicated a programme to her portrait. Her singing is also documented on CD recordings, such as Josef Rheinberger's Mass in C major, Op. 169, the Requiem of Mozart and works of Ferdinand Andergassen.
Since 1994, Ingrid Amann teaches "Introduction to Education and Psychology" and "Singing practice" at the Landeskonservatorium in Feldkirch. |
