The American bass and choral conductor, John Alston, studied at the Indiana University School of Music in the late 1980’s.
John Alston is Associate Professor of Music, Director of the Chorus and Orchestra at Swarthmore College in Pennsylvania, where he has taught since 1990. He is also the founder and artistic director of the Chester Children's Chorus. As a vocal soloist, he has appeared with many professional ensembles throughout North America and specializes in early music. He is also on the conducting faculty of the Baroque Performance Institute at Oberlin College. |
