The Australian mezzo-soprano, Lynette Alcantara, graduated from the University of Melbourne. After winning the National Liederfest prize she moved to England in 1992 to study, and the following year joined the BBC Singers.
Lynette Alcantara has worked for the Victoria State Opera Company, Opera North and has recently performed in Simon Holt's opera The Nightingale's to Blame in Vienna.
Lynette Alcantara also teaches singing and is Director of College Music at Wolfson College, Cambridge where she has recently been made a Fellow. |
