The Israeli mezzo-soprano, Esther Admon, is a Scholarship graduate of Juilliard School of Music, New York.
Her debut performance at the Carnegie Recital Hall received good critics and as a result she was invited to appear in several operas and concerts throughout the USA. She continues her musical activities at the Flensburg Opera House in Germany. She stayed with the company for two years, in the course of which she sang the mezzo-soprano roles in most of the operatic repertoire.
Among the local orchestras with which Esther Admon appeared is the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra, the Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra, Kol Israel Symphony Orchestra and the Haifa Symphony Orchestra. She also participated in the concerts at the Abu-Gosh Festival, appeared with the Israeli Opera, gave Lieder recitals and sang with various chamber ensembles.
Esther Admon has recorded songs and arias for the Israeli Broadcasting Corporation in conjunction with various chamber ensembles.
Esther Admon taught voice instruction at the Levinsky Teachers' College for over 20 years, during which she staged chamber operas for nine years.
Recently Esther Admon has recorded a CD of her late husband, Jededia Admon's songs, old and new. The production was done with the assistance of the Ministry of Education, the Jehoshua Rabinovitz Foundation of the Arts, and with the support of ACUM. Last year Esther Admon was engaged as an actress in My Fair Lady production at the Performing Arts Center in Tel-Aviv. |
