The Accademia Corale Guido d'Arezzo (Choral Academy Guido d'Arezzo) was founded in 1986 with the aim of contributing to knowledge and dissemination of choral music. The Accademia Corale Guido d'Arezzo, historically linked to the repertoire Renaissance and Baroque polyphony, has recently approached some 19th sacred pages (Felix Mendelssohn and Josef Rheinberger) and the historical nine hundred (Gabriel Fauré and Bettinelli).
The Accademia Corale Guido d'Arezzo has taken part in competitions polyphonic getting approval and numerous awards: Piemonte In Musica, Organo Di S.Giovanni Battista” (per l'Aspor Piemonte), Meditazioni Musicali” (presso la Badia di Dulzago), Rassegna Internazionale di Canto Sacro” (presso il Comune di Olbia), Festival Corale Internazionale "Alta Val Pusteria" (Trentino Alto Adige), Festival Corale Alpe Adria di Lignano Sabbiadoro (Ud), Stagione Musicale del Conservatorio A.Vivaldi di Alessandria.
Since 2001, Riccardo Naldi is its current Artistic and Musical Director. Since 2004, the Accademia Corale Guido d'Arezzo organizes seminars for choir conductors and seminars for choristers with Marco Berrini (assisted by Riccardo Naldi) in Villarbasse (Torino), where the choir plays the role of choir workshop. |
